RabindraNath Tagore University provides vibrant plate form to promote creative talent in students and faculty. Numerous events, competitions and celebrations are organised in the university. 2015-16 was a rich literary year providing wings to the talent.
A literary group has been formed under leadership of a team of faculty (Dr. Sangeeta Pathak, Dr. Deepti Maheshwari, Dr. Sangeeta Jauhari, Dr. Ritu Kumaran, Ms. Harsha Sharma) with talented students Sandeep Poddar, Jyoti Batham, Apoorva Pachori, Alankrita Singh, Pankhudi Singhal, Shreya Sharma & Shishir Sarathe. This group is entrusted with the task of providing plate form to all students and faculty of the university to display their artistic talent. The first literary magazine of the university under the aegis of this group was published in 2015.
The ambience of RabindraNAth Tagore University was enlivened by folk tunes along with superb theatrical presentation of a storyline lambasting the writers circle having a proclivity of compromising. It was a unique opportunity for hundreds of students gathered in the assembly hall of the university to get a firsthand chance to know the theatre. It was also an interesting experience for the young audience to see the universities chancellor as an author-play-wright. In the first session of two-day drama fest, Vihan Drama Works made a melodious presentation of ‘Rang Sangeet’. It was followed by the outstanding enactment of Santosh Choubey’s story ‘Lekhak Banane Wale’.
