The Department of Paramedical studies at RNTU was established to propagate the influence of paramedical practices in daily lives and integrate them around the globe. The university aims at blending the modern practices and theories with the traditional knowledge of the field and offers paramedical courses with the commitment to provide innovation and research in the higher education. The curriculum of each of the course is in accordance with the guidelines of the paramedical council along with inputs and additions from renowned practitioners and academicians who form our academic advisory board.

Bachelor of Physiotherapy is a 4-year undergraduate degree programme for students after 10+2 level. The course covers subjects like Basic nursing, Orientation to physiotherapy, Electrotherapy, Pharmacology, Clinical observation posting, Biomechanics, Microbiology, First aid and CPR, Supervised rotatory clinical training, Orthopaedic and sports physiotherapy, Allied therapy, Community medicine, neuro-physiology, and more. The candidate, after B.Sc. Nursing, can go for employment as physiotherapist, researcher, lecturer, home care physiotherapist, sports physio rehabilitator, and medical coding analyst in both public and private sectors.

Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology is a 2-year diploma course pursued by students after 10+2 level. The course covers subjects like Basic Haematology, Basics in laboratory equipment and chemistry, Blood banking and immune haematology, Immunology, Clinical Pathology and parasitology, Histopathology, Cytology, Microbiology, and Clinical biochemistry. The candidate can get hired as certified medical laboratory technicians in clinics, research institutes, and laboratories. Trained and experienced technicians are in high demand in blood banks, nursing homes, private hospitals, in-vitro fertilization laboratories, and pathology laboratories.
Diploma in Angiography Technology is a 2-year diploma course pursued by students after 10+2 level. The course provides training in various aspects of conducting angiography, making reports, and provide assistance in the process of medical treatment of patients. Trained and experienced angiography technicians are in high demand in public and private hospitals, research institutes, and pathology laboratories.
Diploma in Perfusion Technology is a 2-year diploma course pursued by students after 10+2 level. The course provides training in various aspects of clinical perfusion through cardiopulmonary bypass machine during cardiac surgery or any other surgeries the require the management of physiological status of a patient. Trained and experienced angiography technicians are in high demand in public and private hospitals, research institutes, and pathology laboratories.
Diploma in Cath Technology is a 2-year diploma course pursued by students after 10+2 level. The course provides training in various aspects and functionalities of catheterization also known as cath lab. Trained and experienced cath lab technicians are in high demand in public and private hospitals, research institutes, and pathology laboratories.
Diploma in Dialysis Technician is a 2-year diploma course pursued by students after 10+2 level. The course provides training in various aspects dialysis techniques and their procedures. The course covers subjects like working environment, patient and equipment monitoring, procedure recording on medical chart, patient information collection, nephrology, diagnostic test, overview of kidney’s functioning, kidney disorders, patient care management, computer fundamentals, and more.
