ABOUT DEPARTMENT OF Electrical Electronics Engineering

At the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering through state-of-the-art equipment, cutting-edge machinery and a research oriented approach, the students are trained to be competent and innovative professionals. Taking the research aesthetics further, the University is also striving towards academic research based endeavors in the field of sustainable energy development.


The department was established during the inception of the institute in 2013 as the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (DEEE). This Program aims at producing engineers with sound knowledge in electrical engineering and a strong background in electronics. Since its commencement, the primary objective of the department has been to impart quality education, training and research at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels in various areas of Electrical and Electronics Engineering with broad emphasis on design aspects of electrical and electronic systems. In 2014, the department had started a new M. Tech. program in Power System Engineering.
In 2014, the department had also started a new Diploma program in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (DEEE). The department offers the following degrees.

  1. B.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering,
  2. M. Tech in specializations Power system.
  3. Diploma in Electrical and Electronics

Vision

Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering shall continue to innovate processes to usher developments in electrical/electronic engineering education, keeping excellence in focus and deliver quality services to match the needs of the technical education system, industry and society.


Mission

  1. Train Students by conducting need-based short-term training programs and workshops.
  2. Design, develop, review and modify Skill curricula of various programs in current and emerging areas to fulfill identified needs.
  3. Develop relevant learning resources like laboratory manuals, self-learning modules, multimedia packages, etc.
  4. Entrepreneurial curriculum development..
  5. Conduct researches.
  6. Offer online-cum-contact training programmes.
  7. Offer long term programmes.

Eligibility Criteria : - 10th / SSC with 35%, Lateral entry after 12th or ITI
Duration : - 3 Year
Program Outcome

Program Specific Outcome

At the end of the program the student will be able to:

  1. Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
  2. Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
  3. Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
  4. Project management and finance: Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the engineering and management principles and apply these to one's own work, as a member and leader in a team, to manage projects and in multidisciplinary environments.
  5. Individual and team work: Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings.

B.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering
Eligibility Criteria : - 10+2 (PCM) with 45% marks for Gen. and 40% for OBC/SC/ST Lateral Entry in 2nd or B Sc (PCM)
Duration : - 4 Year

M. Tech (Power Systems)
Eligibility Criteria : - Bachelor of Engg. degree with at least 50% marks (45% in case of ST/SC/OBC)
Duration : - 2 Year
Program Outcome
  1. To prepare the students for successful employment in various Industrial and Government organizations, both at the National and International level, with professional competence and ethical administrative acumen so as to handle critical situations and meet deadlines.
  2. To train the students in basic human and technical communication skills so that they may be both good team-members, leaders and responsible citizen.

  1. To be able to utilize of technologies like matlab modeling and simulation, process controllers, transducers and design, install, test , maintain power systems and industrial applications.
