Electronics and Communication Engineering

ABOUT DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRONICS AND COMMUNICATION

Electronics & Communication is one of the largest and most sophisticated branches of engineering. Most of the consumer product and services have electronics and communication sub system in some form or the other. From two wheelers to satellite, from mobile phone to computers, from radio to video –it is difficult to find a thing without any electronics or communication part. Electronics and Communication Engineering is a very rapidly growing sector where excellent job opportunities await skilled young professionals. Considering the ever growing demand of electronics and communication engineers, RabindraNath Tagore University has paid special attention in establishing an Electronics and Communication Department with latest facilities. Since EC branch deals with design, fabrication and maintenance of wide range of equipment and services in analog and digital form, 20 most modern laboratories have been build to provide hands on experience. The programmes offered by EC Department equips students with the basic concepts, theoretical knowledge, hands on experience, designing skills, fabrication, maintenance and project handling. It prepares them for analysis, design, system implementation, production, operation and maintenance of various applications in the field of electronics and communication. Diploma, UG/PG and Doctoral programmes in Electronics and Communication Engineering will train and prepare the students to create and sustain cutting edge technology which will keep them ahead in competition for getting a job, establishing enterprise, entering in to design, production and service field in any central govt, state govt, public sector or private organisation. After a successful programme in EC branch at RabindraNath Tagore University placement opportunities are in abundance. EC students have benefit of jobs in both hardware & software field.
