  • PO1: To produce good Lab technologists with skills, competence,  and integrity.

  • PO3 Perform routine clinical laboratory procedures within acceptable quality control parameters in haematology, Chemistry, Immunohematology, and Microbiology under the general supervision of a Clinical Laboratory Scientist or Pathologist. To enable me to work as a supervisor, trainer, or teacher in the field of Medical Laboratory Technology.
  • PO4: Demonstrate technical skills, social behaviour, and professional awareness incumbent upon a laboratory technician
  • PO5 Apply systematised problem-solving techniques to identify and correct procedural errors, identify instrument malfunctions and seek proper supervisory assistance, and verify the accuracy of laboratory results obtained.
  • PO6: Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, utilising appropriate quality control and safety procedures.
  • PO7: Recognise and participate in activities that will provide current knowledge and upgrade skills in laboratory medicine or health science.

  • PEO1. Appropriate and successful collection of blood specimens through venipuncture and capillary puncture
  • PEO2: The PGDMLT course is a career-oriented course that opens up new horizons to work in medical or clinical laboratories, blood banks, hospitals, clinics, health centres, forensic and genetic science, pharmaceutical companies, etc.
  • PEO3: Understand normal ranges and values for all common hemology and biochemical parameters and their clinical significance.
  • PEO4. Describe the primary aspects of the blood bank, including ABO-Rh and other common blood group systems, transfusion therapy, transfusion reactions, and hemolytic disease of the newborn.
  • PEO5. Learn about various gramme-positive and gramme-negative bacteria, viruses, and fungi that cause diseases in humans
  • PEO6. Explain the principle, rationale, uses, and interpretation of routine biochemical tests for organism identification. Demonstrate proficient use of routine biochemical tests.
