Livelihood Resource Center (LRC)
The livelihood Resource Center is headed by Dr. Manisha Pandey. It is a centre where youth receive livelihood training to improve their skill sets and pave the route for a sustainable lifestyle and financial independence. Training programmes of the centre help youth to acquire the knowledge and abilities required to launch or expand their own businesses. It advises entrepreneurs with Marketing, Financial Planning, and some more business-related issues. LRC also helps members of the community to communicate with mentors, investors, and other resources.

Core Competencies
• Capacity building and training at professional and paraprofessional in the key sectors and sub – sectors viz participatory natural resources management through watershed development and management, participatory irrigation management, farming system development through GAP / responsible crop initiatives, Organic agriculture, value chain development, commercially viable institution development and sustainable rural livelihood initiatives;
• Developing PCM protocols in the projects under NRM and Farming Systems development;
• Continual education - through community colleges offering non – credit and credit certificate courses of 3 months, 6-month duration, 1-year duration Diploma in Organic Agriculture, RCI and GAP, 2-year full time post graduate diploma in development management and agribusiness duly approved and recognized by the central and state level bodies like AICTE, NCVT, ASCI, UGC and or University of DoHE of state
• Providing end – to – end solutions for developing commercially viable primary producer’s institutions, developing business models and business plans, developing and supporting key business processes in the field of certified seed production, trading of key agriculture commodities, building and managing brands of fresh and perishables, e-marketing through B2B and P2B portals;

• Enhancing Human Capital – Developing Competencies among youth especially rural both at professional and para – professional level to create a cadre of competent combative workforce to fight poverty, inequities and indignities through:

Courses on offer
• Short term customized training courses as per the capacity building need assessment (CBNA) conducted by LRC professional academic experts or as demanded by the client / sponsoring organization on the core thematic areas and expertise of LRC;
• The short courses are of the duration varying between 3 days to 30 days, most of these courses are on – campus with pre and post event evaluations. LRC’ internal academic council exercises quality control on the course ware, modules, Anagogical considerations and methods applied for each course session wise conducts serious pre and post event evaluations in the most transparent manner with utmost fairness and verifiability.
• Participants are provided with a learning portfolio both in hard and soft digital versions and are encouraged to refer to the learning material during the interactive sessions.
• Participants are provided with a “Certificate of Participation” on successful completion of the course and in case wherever applicable a detailed feedback and score sheet along with a “Certificate of Merit” is also provided.
• LRC offers 3-month noncredit certificate and 6-month credit certificate courses in Seed Enterprise, GAP Certification, CBNRM, Use of GIS in Rural Development, 1 Year Diploma in Organic Agriculture, PGDM in Rural and Urban Management. MBA in Rural Management, FPO Management Course
