Programme overview

The MAJMC (Master of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication) programmeme is a two-year programmeme that provides knowledge, skills, experiential learning, and hands-on training in journalism, communication, and media studies. This programme is intended to provide a broad learning framework within which mass communication, journalism, and human capital programmes respond to the needs of the dynamic media and entertainment industry (M&E). It aims to prepare professionals with the ability to meet the challenges and pursue successful careers in varied fields of the media and entertainment industries. This programme aims at creating an understanding of the core concepts of communication, knowledge of new communication technologies, and responsibility towards society. A wide variety of courses, viz., public relations, event management, business communication, communication theories and models, reporting and editing for print media, digital media, radio production, data journalism, design and graphics, photojournalism, and media law and ethics, are covered in this programme.
