Programme overview

Students in a PhD in Zoology programme are required to produce a thesis or dissertation that presents their original research findings. This document must be defended in front of a faculty committee. Ph.D. in Zoology is a broad field that encompasses a wide range of topics. It is necessary to learn and understand animal diversity principles to understand the differences in morphology, anatomy, and behavior among distinct species. Graduates with a Ph.D. in zoology can work in various fields, such as academia, government agencies, and the private sector. They can work as research scientists, university professors, environmental consultants, conservation biologists, and more.
