Rabindranath Tagore University, Bhopal has been established as India’s first skill-based university. The aim of the university is to provide in-depth theoretical and hands-on practical knowledge to the students along with vocational training to facilitate their overall growth. With the establishment of MPOnline portal for conceptualizing e-Governance by the Government of Madhya Pradesh, people could easily get various services at their doorstep. RNTU was established to work along the government to provide better education keeping the future of the youth in mind.
One of the best Bhopal colleges, RNTU offers courses along the spectrum of prevalent sectors in today’s market. The faculty is well-trained and experienced to provide lessons to the students using the latest available technology. The university also aids the faculty who want to grow their academic expertise by undertaking another course or research work. Scholarship programs under the guidelines of the state to help students from various cultural and economic background.
The university has also increased its connections in various industries and collaborates with companies to organise placement drives, research projects, conferences, courses in latest technologies, and competitions. The university also benefits the students and the society in the following way:
National Outlook: The AISECT Group of Universities comprise of a group five universities in the rural areas of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, and Jharkhand. The aim is to improve the quality of education in these areas by increasing accessibility and affordability to world class education.
Core Research Group: The university has reserved an annual budget of Rs. 1 Crore to promote research and established the Core Research Group.
Extension Work: The university continuously works to aid various government policies and plans like MPOnline, Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), Swach Bharat, Digital India, Jandhan Yojana, etc.
Environment & Resources: The university provides various facilities to the students like faculty with Doctorates and industry background, ICT loaded industry based CBCS curriculum, state of the art laboratories with industry grade equipment, etc.
Project Unnat Bharat: The project was awarded to the university by Ministry of Human Resource and Development (MHRD). The university is currently working for the upliftment of 5 villages all the while providing holistic training for every student.
IoT & Cloud Computing Lab: Rabindranath Tagore University is the first university in Madhya Pradesh to establish IoT (Internet of Things) laboratory by Frugal and Intel and Cloud Computing Lab by Microsoft.
Creative Environment: Along with various cultural and co-curricular activities that are organized all the time, the university offers excellent facilities, motivation, support, and reward to the faculty and students who have published over 1000 papers and 50 books in a short span of just 5 years.
Centres of Excellence: The university has 20 centres of excellence Advance Material Science, Agriculture Research, IoT, Science and Communication, Renewable Energy and Energy Park, Advanced Water and Environmental Research, Santosh Choubey Centre of Social Entrepreneurship, Tagore International Centre for Arts & Culture Sub Centre – Lok Bhasha Evam Sanskriti Kendra, Skill Development (Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra), Resource Centre of Adult and Continuing Education, Daikin – RNTU Centre of Excellence in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning and Atal Incubation Centre.
Publication of UGC Approved Journals: The inhouse publication house of Rabindranath Tagore University has published 2 UGC approved research journals for the past 6 years that are indexed by Copernicus.
