RabindraNath Tagore University strongly believes that winning edge comes only when students go beyond syllabus and not only participate but also organize events and create platforms of learning and mutual exchange. Accordingly year 2015-16 was the most eventful year where students played a vital role in organizing and conducting events and participating in them. Staff was an integral part in all such events.

HARMONY 2K15 Fresher's Party (10 Oct. 2015)

“Art as an expression to entertain” seemed to be the motto behind the spectacular show, Harmony 2015 - a Fresher's Day celebration by the RabindraNath Tagore University held on 10 October 2015. The program was held at university campus in the evening. Students participated in the function and introduced themselves to the next chapter of life. Dance, Drama, Music & many such activities entertained audiences till late night. The function provided an avenue for the students to exhibit their inherent talents. The students participated in the events in an overwhelming number. Ms. Pooja Kumari (B.E. - C.S. won the title of Ms AU and Mr. Ashish Malviya (Diploma Civil) was chosen Mr. AU. Title of Ms Eve went to Ms. Himanshi Ayalana (B.Sc. Agri.) and Mr. Shahnawaj Mansoori (B.Sc. Agri.) became Mr. Eve in a tough competition. The title of best dresser Ms went to Pooja Rani (B.B.A.) and best dresser Mr went to Rahul Raj (B.E. – C.S.).

National Festival Independence Day and Republic Day

The patriotic feelings of students and staff came out in the form of dance, songs and debate performed after flag hoisting on both accessions by the Vice Chancellor Prof V.K. Verma. Students & faculty were attractively dressed for the occasion and remembered sacrifice made by freedom fighters. Students took up clean campus drive. Students organised not only attractive cultural displays but decorated the entire campus. Students celebrated independence day based on “Gandhi” theme. On this occasion ‘Azadi Dot Com’ play performed by students.

BHARAT KE RANG Traditional dances of Northeast (6 Aug. 2015)

Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalay organized an event “Bharat Ke Rang” at RabindraNath Tagore University on 6 Aug 2015. Prof. V.K. Verma, Vice Chancellor, RabindraNath Tagore University was the chief guest of the program and Arun Kumar Shrivastav, joint director, IGRMS was also present as the special guest. The program began with the performance of Guru Vandana, followed by Ghanto (Sikkim), Gwalpariya (Meghalaya), Rugala (Meghalaya) and Bihu (Assam). The programme “Bharat Ke Rang” has been organsied to save and nurture the folk tradition of the country.

RabindraNath Tagore University in Spiritual Flavour

Ganesh Utsav, Vishwakarma Jayanti, Durga Puja, Idd & Holi. All the Indian festivals are the occasions for students to displays their keenness to understand our rich heritage through, cultural programmes of dance, drama, music and literature. In 2015 all the festivals were celebrated with lot of gusto and energy.

RabindraNath Tagore University Garba Special (10th-11th Oct. 2015)

10th and 11th Oct. 2015 will go in golden letters in the history of RabindraNath Tagore University when thousands of students and faculty performed in unison with 40 k watts rms power of music. It was not only display of dancing talent but also expression on harmony, integrity and brotherhood.

Romanian Theater Group

All is well that ends well on AU Stage (26 Nov. 2015) On 26 Nov. 2015, In a programme held at RabindraNath Tagore University, an English play titled ‘All is well that Ends well’ was staged by Symbol Theatre Group. The play written by English dramatist William Shakespeare was presented in the form of a musical comedy.

Rhythem2K16 (1st March 2016)

- The Annual Cultural Show of AU The four days annual Tech Fest- Rhythm 2K16 started on 1 March 2016. Students participated in large numbers in various cultural competitions like solo and group dancing, singing, modeling, cartoon making, painting, article writing, debate, rangoli, mehandi and various technical events including robotics, robo race, aero race, model making presentations, lane gaming, JAVA programming, and sports events including cricket, kabaddi, volleyball and kho-kho etc. Prof V.K. Verma, Vice Chancellor, RabindraNath Tagore University, Mr Siddharth Chaturvedi, Director AISECT, Big FM RJ Anadi, and Mr. Brijesh Tomar, Former Captain of Madhya Pradesh Ranji Team guest for this colorful extravaganza. The grand finale was attractive fireworks and cultural show.
