Dr. Kailas Nath Tripathi is a distinguished academician and former Professor in the Department of Psychology at Barkatullah University, Bhopal. With a career spanning over 35 years, Dr. Tripathi has contributed significantly to teaching, research, and academic administration. He completed his graduation and post-graduation in Psychology from Gorakhpur University, and was awarded a Ph.D. in 1985 for his research on “Effects of Extrinsic Rewards on Performance: An Intrinsic Motivational Analysis.”

Throughout his career, Dr. Tripathi has held several key academic and administrative positions, including Head of the Department, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Proctor, Director of College Development Council, and Coordinator of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at Barkatullah University. He has also served as a member of various Boards of Studies and Research Degree Committees across multiple universities.

Dr. Tripathi’s academic excellence has been recognized internationally. He was awarded the Commonwealth Fellowship at the University of Birmingham, UK (2003–2004), participated in the Indo-French Social Scientists Exchange Programme (2006), and was engaged in collaborative research at institutions in Canada, France, and the UK. He has also completed international faculty development programs in India and Thailand.

As a researcher, Dr. Tripathi has served as Principal or Co-Investigator in numerous research projects funded by prestigious bodies such as UGC, NCERT, ICSSR, and CIDA. His areas of research include motivation, organizational behavior, educational psychology, and well-being. He has guided more than 40 Ph.D. scholars and has published extensively in national and international journals, along with contributing to numerous edited volumes.

Dr. Tripathi has been invited as a resource person and keynote speaker at several national and international seminars, conferences, and webinars. His lectures on psychology, education, motivation, and personality development are highly regarded among academic circles. His lifelong dedication to education and human development continues to inspire students, educators, and fellow researchers.
