RNTU was established as India’s first skill-based university in Raisen, Bhopal to enhance the accessibility and affordability of quality global-level education. The university gives an equal attention to both the practical and theoretical learning of the various subjects taught. Keeping this in mind this Bhopal college has established state-of-the-art laboratories that are equipped with latest equipment.

Making its position impactful in the M.P Higher Education scene, Rabindranath Tagore University has designed and launched an Internet of Things or IoT lab of its own. The idea is to educate and train the students in all the latest technological reforms and innovations going on globally. The Centre of Innovation in IoT (CI-IoT) at Rabindranath Tagore University is established keeping the following objectives in mind:

• To design, create, and develop innovative applications and enhance the various domain capabilities across several verticals that are needs of a nation like Smart Health, Smart Agriculture, Smart Manufacturing, Smart City, etc.
• To build an entrepreneurial system for Internet of Things by creating a start-up community with industry capable talent.
• To organize events, conferences, etc. and provide guidance to create an ecosystem where entrepreneurship and innovation can thrive.
• To establish CI-IoT as an authority that provides complete end-to-end solutions with multidisciplinary approach in engineering and IT space.
• To provide an ecosystem and environment for product design, creation, and testing along with validation and incubation, if required.
  

The university has aligned its activities to provide services through the M.P. Higher Education Portal. The college strives at constant creation, design, development, and execution efforts. The college management tries its best to inculcate and enhance the entrepreneurial spirit among the students and help in their overall growth through various training programs, workshops, seminars, competitions, and industry visits.
